rFactor 2 – Install Guide & Tutorial Content
With the release of Image Space Incorporated’s rFactor 2 beta’s release due to come any day now there has been fresh content released over the past few days to give a guide on many aspects of the highly anticipated game.
One of the things released was a very details install guide about how to setup and buy your license to the beta when it is eventually released for the public to get their hands on. Also released today was some interesting tutorial files for those interested in the modding side of rFactor 2 including a packaging guide and Track Technology guide which can be downloaded below.
Step 1: Download the rFactor 2 installer – NOT YET POSTED. (482MB)
Step 2: Install rFactor 2 onto your PC. The recommended paths and options will already be selected for you during the installation, and a shortcut should be placed on your desktop. You may need to click Yes on a User Account Control message if you are using Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7.
There are TWO paths you are asked about during installation: Core and Data. The Core holds the simulations basic files, while the Data holds the large car/track files, replays, screenshots and your player information.
