iRacing Announce Cadillac CTS-V Race Car
iRacing and Cadillac today have announced their partnership which will see a virtual version of the Cadillac CTS-V currently running in the 2012 Pirelli World Challenge. The Cadillac will be the latest addition to the ever growing iRacing content available to the community and will also be joined by the Lotus 49 and McLaren MP4-12C.
In the coming months the iRacing development team will visit the Cadillac Race shop located near Detroit to being the process of bringing the CTS-V into a digital version ready for the iRacing community to drive and enjoy. In addition to utilizing CAD files and blueprints, the iRacing vehicle dynamics engineers will take precise measurements of one of the Pirelli World Challenge Cadillacs to insure the authenticity of the car’s appearance and performance. iRacing’s Cadillac CTS-V is expected to be available to iRacing members in the spring of 2012.
