Kunos Simulazioni has confirmed that the Ferrari 458 GT2 will be included in the release of Assetto Corsa and have released these preview shots of the car.

Assetto Corsa is due for release later this year and the developer is hailing their title as the first next-gen racing game.

Auto Club Revolution – Goes Live!

Eutechnyx today announced that the free-to-play online racing game Auto Club Revolution has successfully completed its open beta test phase and is now officially in full live status.

The game and car community which was designed to deliver a full featured, fully licensed rich racing game experience designed around a free-to-play business model has been in ‘beta test’ since March 2012. The test phase allowed the game’s design teams to collect a huge amount of feedback from the game’s large and dedicated test community, which was combined with billions of empirical data points to optimise the user experience and deliver the compelling, fun experience the game offers today.

To celebrate the commercial launch of Auto Club Revolution, the team has launched a dynamic new rebrand released to herald the shift in status and featuring a brand new logo.

During the game’s beta phase, Auto Club Revolution players have experienced world exclusive collaborations with key partners in the motoring industry, for example Continental Tyres and BMW M Sport, as well as showcasing upcoming racing talents like Lotus’ Formula 3 star, Marvin Kirchhöfer, with many more to follow.

Eutechnyx Chief Commercial Officer, Darren Jobling said, “From the initial closed beta launch right through to our commercial release we’ve been taking our lead from the game’s beta test players adding and changing features accordingly, don’t expect this to change now we’re in commercial release. Project Cars – Build 456 Released

Slightly Mad Studios have released a new weekly development build of their WMD-powered Project CARS title.

Build 456 introduces a very early version of the brand new Formula C car, allowing first extensive physics testing with the lower-tier Formula car that fits right into Project CARS career ladder as a step up from the Formula Rookie.

Grid 2 – Gameplay Video

Codemasters have released this gameplay teaser video featuring the Audi R8 LMS racing around the Algarve.

Grid 2 which is due for release at the end of next month have thrown up a little controversy deciding not to include a cockpit view in the cars. Instead they decided to put their resources into other areas of the game.

I myself prefer the over the bonnet view as it give a much better view of the race track, but that’s just me.

What do you all think about having no cockpit view in included in the game?

Simraceway – Ford GT40 Now Available

The Ford GT40 was created with two clear goals: to propel Ford Motor Company into Le Mans history and blow Ferrari back to the Stone Age! And this exotic, low-slung (the “40” in its name refers to its height in inches) street fighter carried out these not-insignificant tasks to perfection, conquering the 24 Hours of Le Mans—and putting the prancing horse firmly in its place—four years in a row.

The first-born-child of the GT40 program, the Mk I represented a gleaming new weapon in Henry Ford II’s all-dominating, total-performance arsenal. Mid-engine, it wielded a 390 bhp, 4.7-liter V8, weighed less than 1,900 lbs, had a top speed of 200 mph, and ran 0-60 in a mere 4.5 seconds.

The sleek lovechild of Lola Cars and Ford, it proved a perfect platform on which to build a Le Mans-winning dynasty with the Mk II and Mk IV winning the prestigious event in 1966 and 1967 respectively, and a revised, better-balanced, Mk I returning in 1968 and 1969 to finish the job.
