Assetto Corsa – Magione Circuit & Abarth 500 SS
The development team of Assetto Corsa has recently updated their website to include a new development timeline where the latest development news can be found on Assetto Corsa. With the new website update there was also some new interesting licensing news appearing on the timeline for the 500 Abarth SS and the Magione racing circuit.
The Circuito di Magione is an italian racing track located in the hearth of the Italian region Umbria, about 15km west of Perugia. This circuit hosted national and some international races: its length of 2,5 km and its layout make the track easy to learn and an ideal place for practice sessions, track days and sprint races with cars like the Fiat 500 Abarth SS, which is perfectly at ease among the high curbs and many bumps that make the track unique in its genre.
With a peak power of over 165bhp and plenty of torque (230Nm) from the 1.4 liters turbo engine, the light 500 Abarth can accelerate very fast up to its 211km/h top speed. The generous tire dimensions on 17″ wheels and the advanced suspension, give it plenty of grip transforming the car in a fine little toy for the track day enthusiasts.
Assetto Corsa is a new DirectX 11 based racing game for Windows, expected to be released in 2012. Assetto Corsa is being designed to provide a very realistic driving experience, with single player and multiplayer options, officially licensed cars and tracks developed using Laser scan technology, and the highest level of accuracy possible in reproducing real world motor racing environments.
