Assetto Corsa – Imola Licensing Announced

KUNOS Simulazioni has released new screenshots and details of the latest licensing deal for their current game in development, Assetto Corsa. Assetto Corsa is a PC based game due to be released at some point in 2012.

The latest track announced for Assetto Corsa is Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari of Imola located in Italy. Imola features a variation of 17 turns along a 4.909 km long track. Along with the recent development news of Imola which has been previously showcased in Assetto Corsa was some interesting comparison photos between the track completely modeled compared with the data gathered when the team laser scanned the track

Reproducing such a characteristic racing circuit in a 3D scenary is a real challenge. The Laserscan recognition, completed in 2011, has allowed the development team to model each bend and climb with an incredible precision, in order to guarantee an emotional driving, as
close as possible to the real life circuit. It’s a privilege for Kunos Simulazioni to offer to Assetto Corsa’s fans this amazing circuit, surrounded by the Emilian countryside, a piece of Italy that the development team is proud to represent.
