Apex Racing League – Site Update & iRacing Leagues
Apex Racing League, providing sim racers with fast and clean online racing since 2009, also giving us the proud status of being partnered with recently brought major changes to their website. The administrative team behind the site have been working hard to bring a new skin and reorganize the forums, bringing a more user-friendly environment for all. Along with the new theme came a new chat function allowing friends to communicate freely using what is almost like a chat found on a very popular social media website.
With the changes also came some very exciting new leagues for the ever-expanding community of iRacers at Apex Racing League. In total 5 new leagues have been announced appealing to a wide variety and skill level, the leagues include:
Saturday the 5th of May 2012 we will commence season 1 of the ARL iRacing V8 Supercar championship. This Aussie sedan, open setup championship will see some of the most action packed sideways racing ARL has ever seen. Each race of this 12 race season will be broadcast live to ALL OF THE INTERNETZ and prize winners will be announced at the end of the season.
Sunday 6th of May 2012 we kick start Season 1 of the iRacing IZOD IndyCar Championship , this new and exciting single seater, fixed setup championship will see some of the greatest, most action packed racing ever on ARL. The official championship will run 15 minute qualifying sessions, followed by a 45 minute Championship race. Each league will race 1 round on the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month. Other casual races are available to help fill the gaps between races
Sunday 13th of May 2012 we kick start Season 1 of the iRacing Class C Truck Fixed Championship , this new and high speed trucks, fixed setup championship will see some of the greatest, most action packed racing ever on ARL. The official championship will run a 4 lap/15 minute, lone qualifying session, followed by a 45 minute Championship race. Each league will race 1 round on the 2nd and 4th weeks of the month.
Thursday 10th of May 2012 we kick start Season 2 of the iRacing Rookie Oval Fixed Championship , this 6 round series will pitch the best drivers in ARL in some of the closest and most entertaining racing ever seen on ARL. If you like fun, clean and challenging racing online the ARL is the only place to be. There are fortnightly official championships, with seasonal promotions and relegations, that cover 6 rounds over 12 weeks.
Thursday 3rd of May 2012 we kick start Season 2 of the ARL Rookie Challenge, this season will see some changes in the format from the ever popular MX5 series to a full on Mixed Class Championship for drivers of all abilities. Featuring the SCCA Spec Racer Ford, Pontiac Solstice & Mazda MX5 Cup the racing will be more exciting than ever.
